Once you've been raped by an insurance company, you will never be able to trust an insurer again. I got raped by UNUM Insurance Company who uses Gestapo tactics and lies to defame people who have the misfortune to actually become disabled and then file a claim for benefits. This is a Racketeering Lawsuit I filed. Unfortunately the legal system is so screwed up that I will never get to have a trial on the merits because there are too many technicalities that they can use to derail it. And when I say technicalities, I mean bullshit. The Massachusetts Attorney General and Department of Insurance got themselves dismissed from this lawsuit by claiming sovereign immunity. The lies they told were never even addressed. I'll be tied up for years trying to get UNUM into court and they will immediately appeal any decision that goes against them anyway. All in an attempt to wear me out and get me to settle on their terms and whitewash their extortion with a gag order. I'm a doctor. If it could happen to me, it could happen to ANYONE!

"There is no incentive for insurance companies to do what is right, such as live up to the promises made in their policies. Tort reformers fueled by insurance money think big business and the insurance industry need to be protected against "runaway juries." It's the other way around. Big business and the insurance industry have always been able to take care of themselves. The little people need protection from them. This country was founded on the common law right of the little guy to get into court with his hired gun to fight the oppressor, be it big government or big business. Take that away and we have nothing left. Look around. It's being whittled away, bit by bit, caps on damages here, restrictions on jury trials there. It won't end until we recognize the enemy and join together to take a stand against them. It will take the little people to do this together".
